Mychael Seubert is a naturopathic doctor who earned his doctorate from the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine and Health Sciences and is currently licensed as a naturopathic physician in Arizona and Connecticut. Dr. Mychael spent three years practicing under Dr. Ashley Lewin, the founder of Naturopathic Wellness Center.
Dr. Mychael is a member of the New York Association of Naturopathic Physicians (NYANP), a member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP) and a member of the Naturopathic Gastroenterological Association (GastroANP). He has also received training from and is a member of the International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society (ILADS).
From an early age, Mychael was interested in exercise, botanical medicine, nutrition, biochemistry, the mind/body connection, nutritional supplements and traditional Chinese medicine. He voraciously studied these topics, applying them to his own life and fitness regimen. When he developed health issues of his own that traditional medicine was unable to address, he decided to take his interest a step further, and began seeing a naturopathic doctor. His experience with naturopathic medicine was eye-opening. He discovered firsthand all of the wonderful benefits of naturopathic medicine. It was a life-changer and led him to pursue a career in naturopathic medicine.
As a naturopathic physician, Dr. Seubert believes the human body has the inherent ability to heal itself. Working to discover the root cause of a condition, treating his patients as individuals with complex, unique concerns, and giving individualized suggestions on safe, free of side-effects, science-backed therapeutics, Dr. Seubert creates a partnership with each of his patients, guiding them on the path to optimal health.
Mychael has experience working with many conditions with patients under the care of an MD. He particularly enjoys working with individuals supporting them on their journey with gastrointestinal disorders ranging from heartburn, to SIBO (Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth) to irritable bowel syndrome and irritable bowel disease (such as ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease), autoimmune conditions including Lupus and Multiple Sclerosis, blood sugar disorders, kidney disorders, and Lyme.
In his spare time, Mychael is an exercise enthusiast, enjoys cooking, reading, golfing, gardening, playing with his niece (a big reason he moved back to New York).
He also enjoys curling rutabagas. He is the current international rutabaga curling champion – see winners here www.rutabagacurl.com and, if you are wondering what this sport is about, read the History of the Rutabaga Curl.
